About the Firm

Welcome to the Pillersdorf Law Firm, one of the nation's most highly regarded personal injury firms. Founder Gary B. Pillersdorf, recognized nationally for his excellence in the Courtroom, was a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a past president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and served as a Dean for the Association's continuing legal education programs.   He started the firm to provide boutique and personalized care to the most seriously injured tort victims; believing firmly that only by being fully prepared for trial on every case could he ensure that his clients were getting the highest quality representation and recoveries.

THREE DECADES OF EXPERIENCE

The Pillersdorf Law Firm, with over three decades of experience in the personal injury field, is still committed to treating each client not just as a case but as a person.  We understand that the lawsuits we bring often represent our clients only avenue to mitigate or compensate them for the harms done by the unanticipated and life changing events suffered as a result of others careless or reckless behaviors. We limit our caseloads and select only matters were the person has been seriously injured to ensure that every case gets our full attention.

CAREFUL CASE SELECTION

While we carefully screen our cases, we do not shy away from challenges. The firm has handled some of the most difficult cases in our field, setting legal precedents along the way. We are proud or our record of success, especially on the tough cases. Our success in one "hopeless" case, led a Supreme Court Judge to call us "the Saint Jude of trial firms," invoking the name of the patron Saint of Lost Causes.

THOROUGH CASE PREPARATION

We rigorously prepare every case for trial, which has resulted in over 500 favorable verdicts and countless settlements. Those striking results in a broad range of practice areas not only helped our clients recover the compensation they were entitled to, but also protected the public by forcing government agencies and multinational corporations to make much-needed changes in hazardous business practices.

WE ACCEPT DIRECT AND REFERRAL CASES

While we often accept cases for trial from other firms, even after all attempts at settlement have failed, our best results come when we can prepare the case and take charge of its development as early as possible. That makes it possible for us to explore every avenue of evidence and use our years of experience to obtain the most qualified expert witnesses in the field. We limit our caseload to ensure that every case gets our full attention.
